About One Shot
PRIVATE PARTIES
At One Shot, you can host your next gathering in a cozy setting away from home. With more than 800 square feet, including a dining area as well as a den-like library, our second floor event space lets you and up to 60 of your guests eat and gather in comfort. Our central Northern Liberties location—just a block or two away from the Piazza and Liberty Lands Park—shows your friends that you take their enjoyment seriously and will make the schlep worth their while. A flat fee of $250 covers your three-hour event. We’ll set up your catering selection along with flatware, glassware, and paper goods. One of our servers will provide food and beverage service, along with cleanup, and the space includes a private bathroom. Before your event you’ll meet with our head chef to go over your menu selections. All parties must be booked 2 weeks in advance of the event date. The $250 event fee and 50% deposit on your menu and beverage selection is due upon booking. The remaining balance is paid on the day of the event, and there is a 10% late fee for each day the balance has not been paid.
Throwing an even more intimate party? Our library comfortably fits 25 guests—when your living room doesn’t. The space rental fee is $60 per hour, with a 2-hour minimum, and we’ll provide all the same catering and service amenities. You may never host an event at home again.
DRINK MENU
One Shot proudly serves Stumptown Coffee Roasters’ coffee and espresso for one big reason: they are the best. We can taste their involved, caring and personable approach to coffee in every sip. And their dedication to the practice of direct trade with coffee producers from Latin America, Africa and Indonesia just leaves us feeling all warm and fuzzy. They even created a custom house blend just for us, and we happily pour this coffee just for you.
Try one of the many hot and iced Stumptown Coffee beverages (not to mention our exhaustive selection of fine teas!) from our menu, or grab some to brew at home.
BRUNCH MENU
We’re not just coffee peddlers. Here at One Shot food is kind of a big deal, because one cannot live on caffeine, sugar and milk alone (believe us, we have tried). Being a neighborhood cafe at its core, Rebecca Gordon has created a seasonal american brunch menu that uses fresh and local ingredients. Each dish is designed to celebrate brunch and coffee. Daily specials are the Chefs opportunity to play with new ingredients and experiment with new menu items.
ABOUT
Before there was One Shot Coffee there was Northern Liberties, a Philadelphia neighborhood which in 2005 reminded then-Brooklyn resident Melissa Baruno of her own young and bustling stomping grounds. Since her early days as a barista, she’d dreamed of starting a coffee shop of her own. Coffee has always been her love—from the great conversations she’d shared over many a cup to the community of rad people always forged by a good cafe—and it was in No Libs that Melissa found the place where she could finally set up a coffee shop that felt like home.
Since our early incarnation along Liberties Walk, things in the ‘hood have grown—a lot. So has One Shot. Our new digs on the corner of American and George (just around the corner from the original spot) opened in 2010, offering One Shot’s dedicated denizens more of everything: space, food and ambiance if you will. Local interior designers SLDesign created the coziest, most down-home coffee shop you could ever leave your living room for, filling our two levels with comfortable nooks and crannies along with beautiful vintage touches. One Shot’s custom-made wood coffee bar, built by Manayunk-based Workerman Gallery & Studios, is the perfect baristas’ fortress. Here we prepare drinks from our drink menu, featuring our Stumptown Coffee Roasters’ house blend, and help you pick from our delicious brunch menu, full of seasonal ingredients and new approaches to many old brunch favorites.
Built by the neighborhood and for the neighborhood, we are determined to give back to you by serving only the best coffee and food fare.
